  • Day 01 Arrive Bengaluru
    India's IT capital Bengaluru is a charming mix of an urban city and old world charm. On arrival, the Pearl Luxe representative will escort you to The Leela Palace Kempinski Hotel. The luxury abode is liberally sprinkled with business essentials and creature comforts to melt away the tiredness from a long journey. Spend the night relaxing in the hotel.
    Day 02 Discover Bengaluru
    Post a decadent breakfast, escape to the confines of the spa that's spread over a sprawling 20,000 square feet. Equipped with a state-of-the-art gymnasium, you can step into the whirlpool or the sauna, before heading to the relaxation rooms. The highlights of the spa are the luxury treatment suites, hydrotherapy rooms and the unique Ayurvedic Centre. Spend time with the spa manager to create an ideal 'spa day,' a perfect melange of relaxation, revitalization and rejuvenation. 

    A steam, sauna or a relaxing soak in the Jacuzzi precedes all treatments. While considering the therapeutic benefits, the spa is also mindful of indulging and pampering the mind, offering a menu of services stimulating the senses. Choose from a wide selection of treatments, including body massages, hydrotherapy, facials, beauty treatments and Shirodhara, a popularAyurvedic therapy. The Spa also offers daily yoga and aerobic classes in the evening. 

    In the afternoon, set off for a tour of the Garden City of Bengaluru. Visit one of the oldest temples - the glorious Bull Temple, dedicated to Nandi Bull, the mount of Lord Shiva. Another must see is the Summer Palace of the Tiger of Mysore, Tipu Sultan, one of the greatest rulers of theKingdom of Mysore. An elegant escape fit for a king, the two-storied ornate wooden structure now houses a museum. The stately Vidhan Soudha houses the State Legislature and the Secretariat of Karnataka, and is a fine example of traditional Dravidian architecture with a contemporary feel. Look carefully at its doors – they are made from Sandalwood, fragrant wood that's revered in India. Return to the hotel for the night. Tomorrow you shall depart for Mysore. 
    Day 03 Depart Bengaluru, Arrive Mysore via Srirangapatna
    Post breakfast, enjoy a breezy drive from Bengaluru till Mysore (nearly 4.5 hours), via Srirangapatna, the Island Fortress of Tipu Sultan, en route. The citadel was stormed by the British in the 18th century, and the mighty warrior King laid down his life defending his kingdom, an event that marked the start of the British Rule in South India. Check into a luxury retreat in Mysore where you can spend time enjoying the second largest city of Karnataka, located at the base of the squat Chamundi Hills. Spend overnight in Mysore.
    Day 04 Discover Mysore
    World renowned for its mystical dussehra celebrations, Mysore will enchant you with its ethereal beauty. Mysore has many unique facets. It's home to one of the world's oldest zoo, the Mysore Zoo, and the city is also a popular yoga center. 

    Start your exploration of the city at the grand Mysore Palace, the official residence of the former royal family of Mysore, the Wodeyars. This magnificent Indo-Saracenic styled, 3-storied palace is embellished with marbled domes, towering colonnades, and graceful arches. The most stunning artifact in this gilded kingdom is the jewel studded golden throne that occupies a place of pride in the opulent palace, a part of the latter which still remains as the residence of the former Maharaja. The next stop for the day is the summit of the towering Chamundi Hills. From afar you can see the Gopuram (tower) of the Sri Chamundeswari Temple reaching for the sky. Pay your respects to the Goddess – the family deity of the Maharajas and the city dwellers.

    ut mountains and Maharajas are not the only things larger than life in Mysore. The five meter high Nandi Bull,Lord Shiva's vehicle is a stunning example of a granite carving, and is a popular pilgrimage site. 

    After a long day of sightseeing, feast your eyes on a sea of green – the exquisite Brindavan Gardens. No visit to Mysore is complete without strolling through the lush pathways of this oasis laid across the River Cauvery, spread over a lush 150 acres. Stroll through its manicured lawns, hear the tinkle of its lilting fountains and see the breeze caress the flowers. Just yonder is the roaring Krishnaraja Sagar Dam that envelopes you with a mist of fine water if you venture too close. When you've had your fill of the the gardens, take a ferry to the delightful dancing fountains that sway to the tune of Tamil melodies and other popular songs, illuminated in colors of the rainbow. Return to your luxury hotel for the night.
    Day 05 Depart Mysore, arrive Bengaluru via Sravanbegola; depart for Kovalam via Thiruvananthapuram
    Enjoy a breezy drive to Bengaluru via Sravanabelagola which means, 'monk of the white pond,' a revered place of pilgrimage for the Jain devotees. Set atop a hill, the Vindhyagiri or Perkalbappu, it's a soaring 3347 feet above sea level. Reaching the summit one requires effort, so brace yourself to climb up a flight of 614 steps, finely chiseled into the granite of the mountain. But the rewards are immense. Standing sentinel over the region is the statue of Sri Gomatheswar. The region has attracted hermits, mystics and ascetics since the 5th century AD, and you can feel the serenity fill the atmosphere. 

    Proceeding onwards to Bengaluru, you will be taken to the airport to board the flight to Thiruvananthapuram. On arrival, the Pearl Luxe representative will escort you to Kovalam where you will check into the luxurious Leela Kempinski Kovalam Beach.
    Day 06 Discover The Leela Kempinski Kovalam Beach
    Explore the beachside resort that's sandwiched between two beaches, perched on a rock face. Spread over a sprawling acreage, it offers stunning views of the Kovalam coastline. Unwind in the Divya Spa, the resort's Ayurvedic Wellness Spa.     Day 07 Discover Thiruvananthapuram
    Gandhi Ji, the father of the nation, had referred to Thiruvananthapuram as the Evergreen City of India. Embraced by low coastal hills, the bustling city is the largest in Kerala and has a thriving IT industry. The port city's trading tradition goes back a millennium, where spices, sandalwood and ivory would be laden on King Solomon's ships to cross the seven seas. Today, you will set off to explore its vibrant culture. Start off with a visit to the exquisite Napier Museum that boasts a sizable collection of bronzes; historical and contemporary embellished temple carts; ivory carvings; and life size figures of Kathakali dancers in full regalia. Your next stop is the Sri Chitra Art Gallery, adorned with works from Rajasthan, Mughal and Tanjore schools, along with art from China, Tibet, Japan and Bali. Admire the stunning collection of modern Indian paintings as well as those of Raja Ravi Verma, one of the greatest Indian artists. Marvel at the lovely Kuthiramalika (Wooden Royal Castle), that sits adjacent to the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple at East Fort. Kuthiramalika, which means Horse Bungalow, takes its name from the carved roof beams that resemble steeds, and is a fine specimen of traditional architecture. It has on display ornaments, personal effects and weapons of the former Kings of the erstwhile princely state of Travancore. The palace with its excellent carvings and amazing architectural designs is itself a piece of art. After enjoying the sights and sounds of the town, return to Kovalam and relax on its pristine beaches, or pamper yourself in the spa.
    Day 08 Discover Kovalam
    Kovalam means a Grove of Coconut Trees, and this beach town literally is thus. Kovalam has three crescent shaped beaches, each separated by rocky outcroppings. You can choose to soak up some sun on their shores. Relax on a sunbed on one of the larger beaches, the Light House Beach. It's named after a 35 meter high lighthouse perched atop Kurumkal hillock that soars high over Kovalam and swaying coconut trees alike. If you'd like to stay indoors, head to the spa to enjoy therapeutic treatments on offer. Spend overnight in Kovalam.
    Day 09 Depart Kovalam, arrive Mumbai via Thiruvananthapuram
    An hour's drive through dense landscape takes you comfortably from Kovalam to Thiruvananthapuram, post breakfast. From here you will catch your flight back to Mumbai. The Pearl Luxe representative will escort you to your luxury hotel, which enjoys sweeping views of the Arabian Sea, in Maximum City . 

    In the afternoon, you can settle down with a book in the luxury environs of the hotel, take a swim, or head to the spa. If you wish, then you can set off to sample the city. What better place to start out than the imposing Gateway of India, the iconic landmark built to commemorate Emperor George V's visit? We recommend, if time permits, a boat ride around the harbor. Drive past the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus(known as Victoria Terminus) and the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, formerly known as the Prince of Wales Museum(closed on Monday). 

    Fancy admiring the old English art of topiary? Visit the lovely Hanging Gardens. Another fascinating stop is the Dhobi Ghat, a very popular tourist spot, where many Bollywood movies have been shot. Watch the laborious process of physically cleaning and ironing hundreds of items of clothing, flapping merrily in the wind : rows of rainbow-colored trousers, shirts and linen. Spend overnight at the hotel.
    Day 10 Depart Mumbai

    After a meditative, refreshing ten day retreat, you will be escorted to the airport for your onward journey home. Leave with the practical knowledge of a holistic lifestyle, rejuvenated and refreshed.
